GIA Certified Stones - Lab-Verified Natural Gemstones

GIA Certified Stones - Lab-Verified Natural Gemstones

GIA — the Gemological Institute of America — is the most trusted independent laboratory in the gem trade, and a GIA report is the closest thing the industry has to an unbiased second opinion on a stone. This collection brings together every loose gemstone we carry that ships with a GIA identification or origin report, so you can shop with lab-verified confidence from the first click.

Why a GIA report matters

A GIA report independently verifies what you're actually buying: species (is it truly a sapphire, ruby, or garnet), treatment status (heated or unheated, and if heated, whether it's detectable), and — for many stones — country of origin. GIA has no financial stake in the sale, which is exactly why buyers and appraisers treat its reports as the benchmark. Every certified listing in this collection links to or displays the relevant report details on the product page.

What to expect from a GIA-certified stone

Species and variety. The report confirms the stone is natural corundum (sapphire or ruby), natural garnet, or the relevant species — not a synthetic or simulant — and identifies the color variety.

Treatment disclosure. GIA reports state plainly whether a stone shows evidence of heat treatment or is unheated/untreated. We disclose this on every product page regardless of what the report says.

Origin, where determinable. For many of our Ceylon, Madagascar, Tanzania, and Kenya stones, GIA reports include an origin opinion — useful for buyers who want documented provenance alongside the gemological facts.

Because full GIA reports are reserved for larger and finer stones, this collection tends to skew toward our more significant pieces — an easy way to browse the top of our inventory in one place.
