Sapphire pairs — Calibrated Stones for Designers
Matched Sapphire pairs — precisely calibrated, color-matched, and cut as sets — for engagement-ring side stones, earrings, and bespoke designer commissions. Every pair in this collection has been hand-selected from a single parcel to ensure the closest possible match in hue, saturation, clarity, and dimension.
What "matched pair" means here
A true Sapphire pairs is more than two stones of the same color. The two stones share weight (within hundredths of a carat), dimensions (within tenths of a millimeter), hue, tone, saturation, and cut quality. They are designed to sit alongside one another in a piece of jewelry without one drawing the eye away from the other. Most of our matched pairs are calibrated for tapered baguette, oval, cushion, and round side-stone applications.
How designers use these
Three-stone engagement rings. A central sapphire (or diamond) flanked by a matched sapphire pair in a complementary or contrasting color.
Earrings. Studs and drops where left-right symmetry is the entire visual point.
Channel and pavé accents. Where matched color across the band matters.
Bespoke commissions. For couples and clients who want their stones cut and matched from origin, not assembled from inventory.
Treatment, origin, and certification
Every pair lists treatment status (unheated/untreated where applicable) and dimensions on its product page. Most pairs originate from our Sri Lanka network. Larger pairs can be submitted for GIA certification on request — email us before purchase if certification is part of your client brief.
Need a specific color, size, or cut we don't show?
Designers and trade buyers — email crescentgems@gmail.com with the size range, color target, and cut you need. We source and cut new pairs to specification on a regular basis, and we'll pull from current parcels or schedule a cut.
14-day return policy on every pair. Free US shipping; international shipping via FedEx and UPS.
