Expert Opinion
Ahmed Shareek's Assessment
"I like a round stone for a ring because a round outline has no corners or points. Before you buy, watch the videos of this one and look up the report number on GIA's own site. That is what I would do."

The Cut
The crown, the upper part of the stone, is cut with brilliant facets. The pavilion, the lower part, is cut with step facets. The trade calls this combination a mixed cut. GIA gives the diameter as a range, 6.92 to 7.09 mm, measured across the stone, with a depth of 4.47 mm.
Clarity
In our own assessment, the stone shows inclusions visible under 10× magnification and looks eye-clean at a normal viewing distance. GIA colored-stone reports carry no clarity grade, so this is our description, not GIA's.

Care
GIA publishes its own cleaning guidance for sapphire, which treats ultrasonic and steam cleaning as usually safe for heat-treated stones. We prefer lukewarm water, mild soap and a soft brush for a stone we have not set ourselves, because we cannot see how it will be held. That is our preference, not a warning from the report. Store it apart from other jewelry, and once it is set, take it off for heavy physical work.
One of a Kind
This is a single natural sapphire, not a laboratory-grown stone. The stone described on GIA Sapphire Origin Report 2241017779 is the stone you receive.
