Why Our Unheated Ceylon Blue Sapphires

Every stone is hand-selected from rough we source through direct relationships with Sri Lankan miners and cutters. Unheated stones are significantly rarer than heated equivalents and carry greater collectible and investment value - the premium runs 30-200% depending on size and colour. Premium pieces ship with GIA reports confirming no indications of heating. Select pieces are eligible for our Try-On programme.

How to Choose an Unheated Blue Sapphire

Colour. Cornflower blue (medium-vivid, slightly violet-leaning) and royal blue (medium-dark, vivid, pure blue) are the most prized positions. Avoid stones that appear inky under indoor lighting.
