This 2.48 carat cushion-cut Pale Yellow Sapphire is natural and unheated, measuring 7.83 × 6.84 × 5.30 mm. The pale golden hue is characteristic of fine Ceylon sapphires — soft and luminous without the vivid saturation of heat-treated material. Accompanied by a GIA report confirming natural origin and unheated status.

Expert Opinion

"What I like about this stone is its honesty," says Ahmed Shareek. "It isn't trying to be a vivid, saturated yellow — it's a soft, pale golden tone that comes naturally from unheated Ceylon corundum. That gentler color character is exactly what you'd expect from a sapphire that hasn't been heat-treated to intensify its hue, and it has a quiet, luminous quality of its own."

Rarity Analysis

Unheated status is genuinely uncommon — the large majority of yellow sapphire on the market is heat-treated to deepen or brighten its color
The pale golden hue is a specific color character rather than a flaw: it reflects the stone's natural, untreated state, not the vivid saturation produced by heating
At 2.48 carats, this is a reasonably sized stone for a natural, unheated sapphire in this color range
Clarity is described as eye-clean, meaning no inclusions are visible without magnification
Combined value here comes from the unheated origin and honest, eye-clean clarity — not from a dramatic or vivid color, and not from an unusually detailed lab report
Documentation is a general GIA report; this listing does not display a specific report number, so treat the report as confirming natural, unheated status rather than as a fully documented, number-verifiable record

Buying Guidance

Confirm unheated status through the accompanying GIA report before purchase — this is the single most important verification step for a stone sold as untreated
This listing does not display a specific GIA report number; if you'd like to verify the exact report before buying, just ask us directly and we're happy to help
Expect a soft, pale golden color rather than a vivid, saturated yellow — this is characteristic of unheated material and not a defect
Eye-clean clarity means the stone should look clean to the naked eye, though it's always worth viewing photos or requesting additional images before deciding
Try Before You Buy: request additional photos or video of the stone in different lighting so you can see the pale golden hue for yourself before committing
