A bit more information on Sky Blue Sapphires
The ancient Persians believed that the earth rested on a giant sapphire, which reflected its color to the sky. Another legend holds that the tablets of the Ten Commandments were made of sapphire and were so strong that they could withstand a hammer’s swing but would smash the hammer to pieces if struck.

Sky blue, also called baby blue by some, is a pale shade of blue. This color is less expensive and most stones are untreated stones. Popular in Australia and in the US, the color is good for low light conditions.

The sky Blue stones are from Sri Lanka, and purchasing from Crescent Gems gives you the best value for your money.
