Care
GIA publishes its own cleaning guidance for sapphire. We prefer warm soapy water and a soft brush to ultrasonic or steam cleaners, because we cannot see how a stone is held once it is set. That preference is ours, not a condition carried on the report.
- Clean with lukewarm water and mild soap using a soft brush
- Store separately to avoid surface contact
- Once it is set, take it off for heavy physical work
